Are you a Hurting Pastor?
The burdens on pastors are more than most can imagine. But hey, if you’re a pastor reading this you already know that don’t you? Google the words “Pastor Burnout” and you’ll get more than 275,000 entries from which to choose. Kind of makes you wonder why all those people have so much to say on that subject.
In the past seven years I've rubbed shoulders with a fair amount of ministers. I've talked with ministers of large churches, small churches, and every size in between. I've hung out with Black ministers, Hispanic ministers, White ministers, Nondenonominational ministers, and yes, to my shame, even ministers who are better at golf than me.
When our conversations move past square footage, exaggerated attendance numbers, per capita giving and other things that keep God up at night, we slowly let our guard down and begin to talk from the heart. Inevitably, that's when well guarded secrets are shared. For most ministers, its secrets they feel they cannot share with their colleagues, their board, and sometimes even their spouses. At least until now.
After much prayer and seeking God in this area, I am offering any pastor in the USA 100% confidential Pastoral Christian Life Coaching.
What does that mean?
It means that we prayerfully and diligently develop a plan to get the heart of your matters efficiently and effectively. It means we work together on a Godly game plan to turn-around every area of your ministry life and we do it now. It’s a systematic approach to getting the results you need to more powerfully serve where God’s got you planted.
You’re not here by accident!
God’s calling ministers to deeper walks with Him throughout the world right now. He’s raising an army of people (like me) that can minister to them in non-judgmental ways. People leading ministries need a place to go where they can openly share their heartaches, their own inner challenges and begin the restoration process that can lead them back to serving their ministries with the passion they once had.
Ministers need to have a place where they can safely share "without judgment" the heartaches that go along with the calling on their lives. Being here for individuals that serve God as a living is what makes my own ministry here so meaningful to me.
Maybe it’s just Pastor Burnout?
Among pastors and missionaries there is a phenomenon described loosely as "Pastor Burn-Out". The problem is getting to be very serious. Briefly, it involves a cycle of disappointment, anxiety and depression, failure, and insecurity that leads to more disappointment, deeper anxiety and depression and more failure. People caught in this cycle are unable to break lose.
Burn-out attacks busy, conscientious pastors during their prime years. I see symptoms among men and women who enter the ministry with high hopes and an undeniable love of God. Even Christian pastors of excellent reputation and unshakable faith fall victim to it. God has uniquely equipped me to help you, to serve you and I want you to know that my door is open.
Is there a Sin Problem that you cannot get victory over?
Maybe you’ve fallen into some kind of sin and you’re ashamed to share this with anyone for reasons that you sense could cost you everything. You know you have been praying for a safe place to mend and heal yet you do not know who you can trust. This is your time, this is your place, I have been developing resources for over two decades to serve you.
Let’s say you’re struggling with pornography. Let’s get real here for a minute. If you are a pastor dealing with a porn problem, it's time to clean it up. You’re not a BAD PERSON with no chance of restoration. You’re just at a place where the enemy has taken you out of the game. You know its affecting your walk with Christ. You know your anointing is not what it should be. It’s time for real life coaching here! No more lying, no more deceit, no more manipulation. I know you need a safe harbor, this is the place. Now is the time.
Right in front of you is an opportunity to stop living chained to porn. The life you are living now, hiding porn from your family, church, and God (not really), is consumed with worry that you will be found out. As a pastor you have a huge responsibility to the people around you. Your porn problem is driving those relationships into the ground, not to mention your personal relationship with God. You will not and cannot be effective in your position if you let your sin go unchecked.
Proverbs 28:13 "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."
Here’s a powerful thought for you to think on for a minute:
“You’re not alone”
YOU NEED TO KNOW:
• 51% of you say porn is a temptation.
• 69% of you started looking at porn out of curiosity.
• 37% of you say it's currently a struggle.
• 53% of you have visited porn sites in the past year.
• 18% percent of you look at porn a couple times a month.
• 30% of you do not talk to anyone about your dirty little secret.
• 4 in 10 of you looked at porn today.
• 100% of you need accountability.
So what are you waiting for? What God’s done in my life He can and will do in yours. God’s used me to help hundreds of people with struggles like the ones we mentioned here and more.
Come let us reason together. God’s got a plan for you life.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
